U11 Super 6s Rules:
  1. 6 Players in a team.
  2. When batting each team starts with 200 runs.
  3. Each inning will last for 9 overs
  4. Players bat for a total of 3 overs in pairs (9 over match)
  5. 5 runs deducted for each lost wicket – batters should change ends on the fall of a wicket, (the batter out does not face the next ball).
  6. Wides and No Balls count as a penalty of two runs, in addition to any runs scored. No extra ball will be bowled except in the last over when Wides and No Balls count as a penalty of one run.
  7. Bowlers are limited to a max of 3 overs. Every player must bowl at least one over except the wicket keeper.
  8. Bowling should be from one end if possible and this should be stated by the home team at the start of play. In this case the batters will change ends at the end of every over but note rule 5.
  9. Normal Laws of Cricket apply but players will not be dismissed LBW unless they deliberately block the ball to prevent it hitting the wicket.
  10. Even if wearing a helmet, no player can field within 11 yards of the middle stump, except behind the wicket on the offside, until the striker has played the ball.
  11. Managers may umpire, and coaching is allowed. Underarm bowling is to be discouraged.
  12. A 3 oz junior incrediball shall be used and no special equipment is needed. Batting and wicket-keeping gloves should be encouraged but pads are not necessary. Kwik Cricket bats may be used.
  13. The boundary should be no less than 35 yards from the middle of the pitch which shall be 17 yards long. Stumps shall be the smallest available. Games may be played without the use of bails. All types of artificial pitches or flat outfields are acceptable.
  14. The winning team will be the one with the highest net score at the end of their innings.
  15. Host Club to collect results and send to Tom Jackson.

Instructions

We have the main ground booked (map location here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RfxwHNvghWd3zxFd8), and are due to start at 9:30am as we need to finish by 1pm for a senior afternoon game. Please aim to arrive around 9am.

Car parking is limited at the club and surrounding area so car sharing where possible is recommended. There is additional parking by Bray Village Hall if the club car park is full.

The clubhouse bar usually opens around 11:30am - midday, I'm seeing if it can open earlier, but nothing confirmed yet.

We are planning to set up 3 pitches for a 6 team tournament. This will drop down to 2 if any team can no longer make it
